Ayscue’s PERFORMANCE
Performed learning activities or tasks, assignments, and speeches
on time (as per our
Scheduled Plan of
Activities)
è
I
did each speech and activity the time it was due I did not procrastinate,
neither did I postpone any presentation. I was up and ready to present when I
was called on.
Executed effective communication, collaboration and/or leadership
skills
è
During
our group activities, I would do all I can to help my teammates, as well as
other around us. I would ask questions and answer questions clearly for the
person I am speaking to. I did not rush and I took time out to make sure the
person I was helping understood clearly and fully.
Rendered well-thought out speeches, reflections, and work output
è
For
each speech, I did a lot of research and made sure it went well with my topic. I
went over the research before putting it into my slide, and once I did I made
sure it went gradually with my speech.
Fulfilled the ethical requirements of public speaking (AVOID:
plagiarism, ethnocentrism, egocentrism, and commission of
fallacies)
è
At
first, I was not able to cite sources correctly or fully understand them, but
after the help I received I became much better at citing sources to avoid
plagiarism. I took the time and sent my presentation to the teacher to make sure
everything was well put and not incorrect.
Overcame
speech anxiety or fear and other undesirable communication
habits
è
My
first speech I was very nervous and it was noticeable. But after the activities
I became more confident and felt more comfortable talking in front of an
audience. My nervousness went way and I began to gain mastery within my
speeches.

I
think I did a very well in accomplishing success in this class and I learned a

accomplishments that I’ve learned over the course of this
class.

each guideline that was giving by the teacher, I aske for help when needed, and
I practiced in front of housemates.
Nurtured and enriched communication potentials for personal,
academic and career success
è
I
think with my career choice, I will need to learn how to speak publically to
people. So for my personal reasons, this class helped me feel comfortable and
gave me a lot of confidence to speak in front of an
audience.

manner
è
Within
each of my speeches, I stayed positive and respectful for my audience. I did not
use any racial or negative slurs that would have offended my audience.
Experienced success in this course as you effectively utilized
technology and other class resources we have. Give
3 to 5 words that best describe your learning Experience and success in class and explain or
give reasons WHY?
è
Patience,
Practice, and Progress. I chose those words because in the beginning I was
getting frustrated because I never really spoken in front of an audience before
and I was so nervous that I would get upset. But I had to take my time and
practice speaking and just hope for the best. Then in the end I made a big
difference by being more confidence and becoming successful at
speaking.
